Bowie is one of the most influential, and innovative, musicians of our time who had a string of top 10 hits and a serious acting career. Iman is a strikingly attractive supermodel who had transitioned from the magazine to the silver screen — the idea they were finding it difficult to meet people is just plain depressing for the rest of us mere mortals.

Luckily for them their meeting was love at first sight, and Bowie reportedly fell head over heels in love with Somali-born model Iman. The pair seem to share a wacky off-the-wall sense of humour. Iman even said she married Bowie because "he's just plain silly". It seems to be the case. Iman's most recent show of love was forcing David onto a strict diet after he suffered a heart attack in 2004. For David marriage the second time around has changed him for the better, as he explained: "I like where I'm at and I'm very comfortable. I like being who I am, who I'm with and what I'm doing. I seem to have found an equilibrium in my life."
