Ex-Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns has given a helping hand to Aussie pop duo The Veronicas as they quietly chip away at their third, as-yet-untitled album, four years after the hugely successful Hook Me Up.
Jess and Lisa Origliasso wrote a bunch of songs with Daniel Johns in November last year, and two of those will make it onto the new album, The Music Network reports.
The 27-year-old twins told fans in an online chat from their recording studio that working with Johns "was one of our greatest experiences".
The Veronicas' next album is due for a June/July release. A single is coming "really soon", the girls say.
A world tour is also on the go, with the pair set to do their first shows in Latin America.
As for Johns, well, he's been fairly quiet since Silverchair broke up last May. He made a short film with filmmaker Josh Wakely called My Mind's Own Melody, and contributed to the Sydney Opera House's Ship Song Project and an animal rights campaign for WSPA.
