Watch: 11-year-old Kimbra recording her first song

Footage has emerged of an 11-year-old Kimbra recording her first ever song on a New Zealand TV show.

"Hi, I'm Kimbra and one day I want to be a pop star," mini-Kimbra chirps in an adorable Kiwi accent.

Cute!

Appearing on a decade-old episode of New Zealand’s What Now?, the 'Cameo Lover' singer is seen recording the vocals for her song 'Smile', and as you’ll see in the clip above, she’s always had those blessed pipes.

For her first recorded song, it's a pretty funky track.

Yes it’s a bit cheesy, but she's only 11!

And that's before Kimbra went on to become an ARIA-winning artist, topping the American charts with her Gotye collaboration on 'Somebody That I Used To Know'.
