As The Voice winner Karise Eden enjoys her first smell of success after scoring the top three songs on the ARIA charts this week, there's one scent the 19-year-old recalls very clearly: the smell of coach Seal.
"We always knew when he was around," she told TheFIX's Kylie Speer. "But I love that smell!"
"Like, me and [contestant] Fatai used to joke about it, we're like, 'Seal was here'!"
His mystery aftershave may have been right on the nose, but Seal's hands-on approach to his contestants early on was a bit weird at first, Karise confessed.
"Yeah, [it was] a little, but you come to realise that he was doing that because he didn't just see this as a competition on a TV show, he was like, 'No, this is life'," she said.
Seal is "a really, really good man", according to Karise, who showed off the expensive white-gold Cartier bracelet given to her by her hugely supportive coach.
Still feeling "numb" and looking forward to a "couple of days at home", the Central Coast singer has in-store shopping centre appearances coming up to promote her album, My Journey, which is out today.
