The Voice runners-up secure record deals

The Voice finalist
Channel 9
Karise Eden may have scooped the big prize, but The Voice runners-up haven't been left empty-handed. Darren Percival, Rachel Leahcar and Sarah DeBono have all secured record deals with Universal.

The three singers will each be releasing their singles on Friday.

"We all worked hard, we're all very different but we're all credible artists," finalist Sarah DeBono told The Daily Telegraph.

"All I wanted was to be recognised as an artist, that's why I went on the show. Getting to the grand final was everything and more for me, no matter where I came."

After the release of their singles, each of the finalists will be releasing albums of covers they performed on the show, in a similar vein to Karise's debut album My Journey, which came out this week.

"I was going to try and get a deal and release an album," Sarah said.

"This is what I was hoping for. Everything's falling into place."
