Singing a song called 'Search Me' back in 2002, the then 16-year-old singer is a far more conservative picture, make-up free and baggy-clothed. The footage was unearthed over the weekend after the premiere of her documentary film Part of Me, which also showcased videos of the young Katy in her early gospel music days.
Katy has often talked about her Christian upbringing. Both of her parents are pastors who raised her on a diet of gospel music before she was signed to Christian label Red Hill in 2001 at age 15.
After bouncing between record companies for the next seven years, Katy made the move to mainstream pop. Her 2008 breakthrough hit 'I Kissed A Girl' relieved her of that "good Christian girl" image for good!
