Proving that you can indeed rain on Kylie Minogue's parade, the Aussie pop goddess' long-awaited reunion with former on and off-screen Neighbours lover Jason Donovan has been cancelled due to severe weather.
The PWL Hit Factory Live concert at London's Hyde Park was set to celebrate 25 years of the record label which gave Kylie and Jason their big musical breaks. However, the outdoor venue was deemed too muddy for the event.
"The potential risk to staff and music fans was too great for the event to go ahead," a statement from Live Nation and The Royal Parks read.
Kylie has released a statement saying she is "very disappointed" the pair didn't get to sing their duet 'Especially For You', which they had rehearsed yesterday.
"I am so sorry to hear that the concert tomorrow had to be cancelled," Kylie said.
"I feel for all the fans who had bought tickets to this special event. Jason and I were rehearsed and excited to share this moment with everyone."
Jason holds hope the pair will still perform together soon.
"Yesterday was a great rehearsal .... Band, songs and even my voice was all sounding great (and) Kylie and I were really looking forward to singing 'Especially For You' for the first time LIVE ... Well ... You never know, I'm sure we'll get another chance!! Fingers crossed," he tweeted.
The concert was meant to feature performances from fellow '80s and '90s popsters Steps, Rick Astley, 2 Unlimited and Bananarama.
Ticketholders will be refunded.
