Creator Eric Schwartz has come up trumps with his hilarious new video, breaking up with Gotye and Kimbra's hit single 'Somebody That I Used To Know' in exchange for the latest viral sensation, Carly Rae Jepsen.
Mimicking Gotye's original arty video, a half-naked Eric mourns having to part with the song, singing, "It's much harder to ditch than a lover."
In place of the single's original chorus, he croons, "But now it's time to turn it off / Never heard a song so catchy I had to break up with it / I wish that I could keep it on / But they played it at my cousin Jacob's Bar Mitzvah.
"It's my grandma's new ring tone / So now it's just some music that I used to love," he continues in that whiney/catchy Gotye sound we all loved before it got played 1 billion times a day on the radio.
Actors playing Gotye and Kimbra are seen enjoying a game of "Australian Rules Basketball" (on a tennis court) when they receive news of the break-up, but the best bit by far is when Eric pulls out a piece of paper with Carly Rae Jepsen's number and the words 'Call Me Maybe' scrawled on it.
We're guessing it's only a matter of time until this parody genius dons a Carly-esque brunette wig or gets his top off as a lawn-mowing sex God in jest of the video clip for the 26-year-old singer's viral hit.
