Lebanese-born British pop star Mika has come out as gay after years of media speculation about his sexuality.
The 28-year-old 'Grace Kelly' singer, known for his glam image and upbeat pop tunes, revealed he is out and proud in a new interview with Instinct Magazine.
"If you ask me, 'Am I gay?', I say 'yeah'. Are these songs about my relationship with a man? I say 'yeah'," he told Instinct.
"And it's only through my music that I've found the strength to come to terms with my sexuality beyond the context of just my lyrics. This is my real life."
While Mika had previously been cagey talking about his personal life, he did reveal to Dutch magazine Gay & Night in 2009 that he was bisexual "if you need a term for me".
Mika has a new album, The Origin of Love, out in September, led by the single 'Celebrate' featuring Pharrell Williams. Have a listen below.
