Video: Gotye covers Gotye in 'Somebody That I Used To Know' remix

There's been a million-and-one internet covers of Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know,' but guess who's had the last say?

The man himself!

Gotye has paid homage to all those five-minutes-of-fame YouTube wannabes who have uploaded weird and wonderful versions of his hit song.

"Reluctant as I am to add to the mountain of interpretations of ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ seemingly taking over their own area of the internet, I couldn't resist the massive remixability that such a large, varied yet connected bundle of source material offered," he captioned the clip.

The Aussie-Belgian musician apologised for the "many clips I missed" and also took the opportunity to thank all ~~the people annoyed by his arguably overplayed single~~ his fans.

"Thank you to everyone who has responded to ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ via YouTube. It's truly amazing!" he wrote.

True that. For us FIX-ers, it seems each new day brings a new Gotye cover.

Maybe, just maybe, this will be the last.
