One Direction fans, here is your first glimpse of the cover of the British boyband phenomenon's second album, Take Me Home.
The cover art shows a playful meeting of two British icons: 1D and a fire-engine-red telephone booth. Poor Niall Horan is blurred out by the phone booth reflection, while often-lead singer Liam is firmly on top any subliminal messaging happening here?
Still, we're big fans of Niall at TheFIX. The 18-year-old Irishman, also known for having the worst-selling 1D doll according to toy sellers, has spilled the beans on what the album title means.
"We thought about it for a while," Niall told Ryan Seacrest on the US radio station KIIS-FM.
"Because we all would do a lot of travelling around the world and we get to see a lot of cool places, but the main thing is there's no place like home. It's always kind of nice to go home."
The boys aren't changing their musical direction too much. Niall added that Take Me Home is "not too different" from the band's first 12 million-selling record, Up All Night.
"We've been very, very happy about it, because we're obviously nervous the second album you never know what you're going to get from it," Niall said.
"But we're really excited about it. It's really fun, very heavy on guitars and drums, so we're super excited about it."
The album is out November 9, and is available for pre-order from this Monday, September 3.
1D's new single 'Live While We're Young' will debut on radio on Tuesday, September 25 from two in the morning (bet there'll be plenty of teenage girls staying up all night for that one!). It will then go on sale from Friday, September 28.
No matter what it ends up sounding like, the single is already a massive hit. It became the fastest selling pre-order single in history earlier last week, hitting number one in more than 50 countries within hours of its pre-release.
