This time it's an unassuming 21-year-old girl from The Philippines who has taken the world by storm with her rendition of Whitney Houston's 'I Will Always Love You' performed on a karaoke machine in a shopping centre.
Zendee Rose Tenerefe, known online as the "Random Girl of SM Megamall", came to fame when a YouTube user, Yuan Juan, published a clip of her performing Jennifer Hudson's 'And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going' on a Magic Sing karaoke machine in a Manila mall.
Two million YouTube streams later, the songstress returned to nail Whitney's enduring classic, which has since racked up more than 500,000 streams since it appeared on Sunday.
So why hasn't she been discovered yet? Zendee tried out for The X Factor Philippines and got through the first round, but stumbled during the boot-camp stage.
Even before her Whitney video went live, Zendee was asked to appear on Ellen DeGeneres' TV show (some speculate that Zendee will also hit up Oprah).
Zendee told Filipino media that she is "nervous" about speaking in English on Ellen.
She'd be following the footsteps of fellow Filipino YouTube sensation Charice, who was plucked from obscurity by both Ellen and Oprah in 2007 and 2008. Charice later bagged a guest role on Glee, and is now one of the judges on The X Factor Philippines. Is Zendee next? Tell us what you think below.
