Their new song 'Live While We're Young' has been accused of ripping off a classic hit that came out before any of them (and most of their fans) were even born.
Since the British boy band debuted the new song last Friday, Twitter users have noted the uncanny similarity between its opening bars and the intro to The Clash's 1981 smash 'Should I Stay or Should I Go'.
"Am I the only one that can hear The Clash in the first 10 secs of One Direction's new song?" one user tweeted.
"Wow blatant copy of The Clash's 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go', intro in One Direction's new song, RIDICULOUS," another posted.
