'Grace Kelly' singer Mika, of the high falsetto and British-Lebanese good looks, is about to release his third album, The Origin of Love. We've got the Australian exclusive album stream for your listening pleasure below.
After selling eight million albums worldwide with 2007's Life in Cartoon Motion and 2009's The Boy Who Knew Too Much, the 29-year-old pop star has a new electro-pop sound that reflects his life at the moment.
"I am in a very happy relationship," Mika reveals, after recently coming out of the closet as gay.
"I am a naturally private person. But at this time of my life I felt it was the perfect time to write about love. Obviously there's always been this 'what is he?' thing with me and my refusal to answer that was simply down to the fact that it's all in my music.
"You can't push people to say things to fit an agenda. I hadn't bloomed."
Mika worked with Aussie Empire of the Sun and Pnau member Nick Littlemore, as well as Pharrell Williams, William Orbit and Benny Benassi, to get the upbeat dance sound right.
"What we have done here is joy catching. Every moment on the record reflects how joyously I feel about my life and what I do. I desperately want people to hear it," Mika says.
Listen to the album below. The Origin of Love is out Friday, October 12.
