Poor Nicki Minaj. She was stopped from attending her own album launch party on Tuesday night in New York.
Ever been bounced at the door? Don't feel bad. Clearly being a celeb — or even hosting your own event — isn't enough to guarantee you access to clubs in NYC.
The 29-year-old hip-hop artist was turned away at the Greenhouse club with an entourage of 25 people at 3.30am.
"The cops denied [Minaj] access saying the venue was capacity," an insider at the scene told the Huffington Post.
The bouncers spoiled Minaj's party plans completely, the insider said. "She tried to celebrate with fans but was turned away at the door."
Of course, maybe there's something to be made of turning up with 25 people at 3.30am, but that's just us.
