Chris Brown has taken a financial hit after cancelling tour plans in South America off the back of protests from women's rights groups and anti-domestic violence lawmakers.

The rapper was scheduled to headline a stadium performance on December 26 in the South American nation of Guyana.

According to the promoter, Hits and Jams Entertainment, Chris pulled out because he was "uncomfortable" with the protests.

The cancellation is the latest blow to the 'Don't Wake Me Up' singer, who was convicted of beating, choking and biting his then-girlfriend Rihanna during an argument in Los Angeles in 2009.

While Rihanna has since forgiven him, people are clearly still hesitant to move on from Chris' violent past. Have you forgiven Chris?
