Kesha's 'Die Young' drops from charts after US school massacre

Kesha's latest single has been dropped from many radio playlists since the Newtown tragedy, losing its once prominent place on the charts.

The single was performing well until the massacre on Friday when it stopped being played by DJs in the US and plummeted out of top ten spots worldwide.

TMZ reported that by Monday the song had experienced a drop of 19 million listeners.

They also reported that the last time a song was pulled so drastically from the charts was when the Dixie Chicks were banned on US country radio stations for insulting President Bush.

Perhaps Kesha should stick to singing "blah blah blah" to avoid such flops in the future.
