So it's come to this. Famed '90s boy band 5ive are now 4our, after Jason 'J' Brown ditched the group. This will not stand. The solution? It's time for a worldwide talent hunt, powered by Facebook.
With J Brown gone, it's fallen on remaining members Scott Robinson, Ritchie Neville, Abz Love and Sean Conlon to find a new member.
5ive founder Chris Herbert posted the following message on Facebook, kick-starting the hunt: "Looking for a member to join an established and extremely successful band. If you are male... late 20s early 30s, singer and/or rapper, great looks and swagga, inbox me... This could be your calling!"
Do you have "swagga"? Track down Chris Herbert and try your hand at a position in one of the world's biggest boy bands.
5ive become "4our" - but not for too much longer. Could you be the next member!
Being one member down isn't the only thing troubling 5ive right now. A source close to the band also said that Ritchie's accent has become so Australian that it's become a problem. "Ritchie sounds like an extra in Neighbours after years of pulling pints over there (Australia)." Fair dinkum.
5ive are taking part in UK TV station ITV2’s new show, The Big Reunion, reuniting some of the biggest pop acts of the '90s. Joining 5ive are Atomic Kitten, B*Witched and Liberty X. The series premiere January 31, but no Australian airing date has been announced.
