Azaria and KJ from The Follow go missing

, Prev Next

Azaria, the former boyfriend of Jess from the Veronicas has gone missing in the US, where his band The Follow are currently based, and concerns are held for his safety. KJ, the female bass player of the band has also been missing since the pair was last seen in North Hollywood on Friday.

A blog entry appeared on the MySpace page of the formerly Sydney band today calling for information leading to the whereabouts of the band members.

The message reads:

WE'VE BEEN INFORMED THAT AZARIA AND KJ HAVE BEEN MISSING SINCE FRIDAY AUGUST 22ND. IF ANYONE HAS ANY INFORMATION ON THEIR WHEREABOUTS, PLEASE CONTACT US. KJ AND AZARIA WERE LAST SEEN IN NORTH HOLLYWOOD AT THE CORNER OF BURBANK & VINELAND. CONCERNED FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS SHOULD CONTACT JaK COLEMAN FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Concerned fans have left messages on the page, including one from "Fanny Famous" who posted: "This better not be a publicity joke cos it's very cheap if it is... my thoughts are with you."

Yesterday the band's guitarist Jak Coleman posted this distressed message on his MySpace blog. He describes a scene in which Azaria "lost it completely", smashing the guitarist in the face with an acoustic guitar before crying and running out. He also reports that KJ has been missing, last seen going to a 7-11 store wearing no shoes and leaving without her wallet.

The band's management have also posted a message on their MySpace blog and website:

Hey Bros,

Andrew and I are f****** flippin out right now. KJ and Azaria from The Follow are missing. They've been recording their full length the last few weeks. We got a call from their guitar player JaK. They've been MIA since last Friday. These kids have been on edge for the last few weeks and there is speculation that they just turned their phones off and wanted to get away.

Like Azaria, Kara Jayne "K.J." Dickson has a famous amour — Craig Nicholls from The Vines is her boyfriend.

We've contacted management, and they've confirmed that this is not a joke, and that the pair are, indeed, missing.

And while there has been an unconfirmed sighting of Azaria on Saturday night at Hollywood restaurant and lounge CineSpace, at this point the two are still missing with Jak and the band's management filing a missing person's report and contacting the Australian Consulate for guidance.

Your all a bunch of idiots who have no right to comment on people they know nothing about. Get a life. Stop worrying about theirs. Can anyone say tall poppy syndrome? ***.
If "Azaria" is 28 how can he logically think he is the reincarnate of the Chamberlain baby? He was a knob in high school and he's still a knob now.
Azaria and KJ BOTH need to grow up. Mikey, I agree with you. It's sad, but when you're in a depresed state, you're not thinking clearly. It just seems to be that since KJ is going through a breakup-that maybe the case (the same article that's running in several Aussie newspapers www.news.com.au- confirming this story also confirms that KJ and Craig have broken up-type The Follow into the search engine, and it pops up-and it also confirms that Azaria and Jess from the Veronicas have broken up, but no one really knows if they're off right now or back on).
Pretty stupid to take off without saying a word. Funking irresponsible I may say. If Kj was spotted without shoes and her wallet at 7-11, she must be pretty depressed. Maybe Craig and KJ brokeup and she is sad. Poor girl, I feel for you but, after all the parties and smokes(But breath) and alcohol you love, another rocker boy will be knocking on your vodka bottle pretty soon. YUCK!
Well Azaria does think he's the reincarnated soul of Azaria Chamberlain (hence changing his name to Azaria) so maybe this is take two - convenient that little Azaria went missing in August 28 years ago. No?
JESS AND ZAR ARE STILL TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!and i am a Follow fan and i am soooooooo not emo.........
its prob ***, no1 even knows who these ppl r. just coz he's with 1 of the veronicas, big deal. publicity stunt 4 sure in the hope that ppl will buy their stuff, however it wouldnt suprise me if Azaria didnt get his way and cracked the ***. bunch of ferals i say
im worried for them as either way they are sad and they are both beautiful people...
hasn't anyone noticed that the only time Azaria is ever even mentioned,( or the follow for that matter) is when its connected by 'the former boyfriend of Jess from the Veronicas ' or something to do with his relationship with her. i mean, pretty sad. can you say 'fame by association'? yes, i think you can. i'd run away too...or maybe they're just off somewhere following their heARts. riiiight.
Hey, they can change the bands name to "Missing Persons", oops, forgot, taken. I know how 'bout "Missing Knuckleheads"?

New video: it's all about Hugh Sheridan MusicFIX Blog by Sam Nov 20 2009 2:29PM Off the heels of his debut 'Just Can't Throw Us Away' comes Hugh Sheridan's follow-up 'All About Me' — and MusicFIX is giving you the first look at the new song.

We gotta say: Hugh's is looking pretty fine in the clip, which dumps him in the desert (in trendy aviator sunnies) where he's rescued/stalked by a woman I can only assume is a massive Packed to the Rafters fan.

Keep an eye out for the blink-and-you'll-miss-it shirtlessness:

'All About Me' is from Hugh's album Speak Love, which releases on November 27.

Music Review: Foo Fighters & Robbie Williams MusicFIX Blog by Jade Nov 19 2009 3:11PM

Single review: Robbie Williams - Bodies

Robbie's appeal lies in the chorus. 'Rock DJ', 'Let Me Entertain You', 'Angels' - a verse is just a means to a middle for Mr. Williams. His last album lost the chorus and truckloads of fans along the way.

Bodies the new single off of his seventh album 'Reality Killed the Video Star' was a perfect choice to piggyback a comeback on. The fuzzy guitars and synth beats do a damn fine job of building interest till we reach the main event and Robbie's voice bursts through, bringing with it the memory of just how catchy and fun he can be.

Admittedly the choir and the string section are a little naff and it's definitely no monster hit like 'Rock DJ'. Still it is a pretty slice of pop pleasure from someone who unlike 'Take That' you aren't embarrassed to admit you listen too. You will like it if: You're in need of a new karaoke tune.

Album review: Foo Fighters – Greatest Hits

The Foo's are the gateway band for the next generation (not sure what letter of the alphabet that is). They are the band every 13 year old first turns too when they are on the cusp of realising there is more to music than the Top 40. Easy listening with just enough edge and cred to ease the transition into some harder sounding stuff.

Everyone remembers their first, it always maintains a slight rosy coloured special sheen, and it's why a decade later grown up kids get misty eyed when 'Monkey Wrench' suddenly appears on a shuffle playlist. It's why record companies are cynically smart enough to release a Greatest Hits album just before stockings must be stuffed in time for Christmas.

While the obligatory two new songs tacked on the end - 'Wheels' and 'Word Forward' won't make it to 'Greatest Hits Vol. 2', the CD serves its purpose as you find yourself discovering or dusting off their old albums.

Video: Ministry of Sound's raunchy new tune MusicFIX Blog by Sam Nov 18 2009 4:01PM Aah, another Ministry of Sound song, another raunchy video clip.

Titled 'aNYway', the track is by Ducksauce and appears to be influenced by the Patrick Swayze/Demi Moore classic Ghost — if Ghost was, like, 100 times sexier. (I don't recall Patrick slipping his hand inside Demi's bra in the movie. Or the two of them crafting a huge penis-shaped thing out of clay. Hmmm...)

Check out the clip right here:
