Lily Allen urged to go to rehab

, Prev Next

Lily Allen's spate of publically drunken episodes lately have allegedly left friends seriously concerned for the singer's health.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper that the pop sensation needs help.

"We all think it's time she considered rehab. She drinks too much, then feels depressed," said the source, adding that the singer didn't think anything was wrong with her behaviour.

"Her attitude is: 'I like to let my hair down and have a good time, who doesn't?"

Sure, Lily's had a few embarrassing incidents lately – including being carried out of the Glamour Woman of the Year awards in July, and swearing at Elton John at the GQ Awards last month – but does that really warrant rehab?

The singer, seen above arriving bright-eyed at Paris Fashion Week, is quick to admit on her myspace blog she goes overboard sometimes, but insists her behaviour is normal for someone her age.

"I'm not defending my drunkeness because i don't need to, i'm 23 it was an awards ceremony i drank the free champagne, how awful of me," Lily wrote in the wake of the Elton scandal.

people are dying all over the world from starvation..... who cares if she is drunk, big deal ! all you people who judge something so stupid should concentrate your energy on something that actually matters.
who gives a toss, rock on lily ")
some realizisim needs to brought into the picture... 1. she is young, nieve and in need of a adult 'shaperone' to supervise and advise behaviour in order to succeed in this line of work and life style 2. you were giving away the alcohol to anyone, she is a minor and cant handle it 3. you broke the law permitting underage drinking in a pubic venue 4. what sort of role model is an ex alcoholic drug taking old man who ran his life like this practically the whole time and was still proud to say ..'he could snort her under the table... gee proud moment 5. if you want your presenters to not embarrass you stop giing them the multitudes of alcohol there is plenty of time later at parties for their drinking i think the paparrazzi need to look in the right direction for the blame on celebrities at events... how about the hosts and managers etc
The reaction, to this is way too harsh! Hay, how can Lily Allen wear that long dress, and be seen (without her assistant) and be so drunk, that she cant' walk? answer! she was not that drunk, she tried to read off the teleprompter, and was given a sarcastic remark by Elton John!Countless Photos prove that she leads a sober life, it's only the press reports that say she has a problem, and while I'm here.. Elton John is on video tape saying Lily Allen is my friend, Jamie Winstone is on video take saying she is bullied by the press. Cannes film festival, the glamour awards the so called fight in the street, and the G.Q. awards, are what is causing this. They were all too far apart for a drinking problem. She lets her hair down sometimes so what? I love her!
cheers lily! get *** and party hard! f*** the haterz! they need to worry about their own life and not yours.
This little *** embarrassed an icon of the music industry in Elton John. Yeah she needs rehab - for her brain!
if this were an aussie footy player or even most sports, sporting personalitys would agree if they were to act the same way as lily they would have to pay for it by fines or suspention or even worse (she is lucky she dose not have to take random drug test) to all these people saying get off her back thats *** she deserves more and she needs to pay for her choices she is also a role model to loads of people so why do they (movie music and performers alike) all get away with this continuing poor behavior, why do sports persons have to take so much slack when really there in it mainly for there own passions to play as best as they can and always strive to beat your own personal best but the others like lily can get trashed rock up to places out of it and get away with it all but maybe a sling at there personality big deal no wonder they continue in this fashion its wrong we the people pay there wages too so why don't they have to live to the same exspectations as the rest of us
I think she's sowewhat too old to drink, here the youngster take their experiences at about 16 years old... But in northern countries it also help to get some warmth... But hey who am i to criticize another human being!?
Yes, she is young. However she should still controll her behaviour when she is making public appearances such as her night with Elton John. I am 21 and I drink pretty much every night of the week. But if I knew I was going to have a night like that particular one, I would have toned down on the drinking. Considering she tried to talk down on (drunkardly) Elton John who has most definitely drank more, snorted more, licked more, swallowed more drugs than Lilly Allen could ever imagine. She just can't handle her booze, it *** with her head therefore she shouldn't do it. Not her fault, just born that way. If she is going to carry on this way at every ceremony she is invited to, then she isn't really entitled to her fame is she? I thought fame was about talent, not *** behaviour. Everyone in Nimbin, Australia should be famous if this the acceptable, normal way of life of a celebrity. From Glenn. Peace out ***
"i'm 23 it was an awards ceremony i drank the free champagne, how awful of me" Thats all good and dandy, but she wasn't just your average antendee. She was helping give awards. With that comes the responsiblity of keeping sober and doing your actually job. If she can't stay sober doing her job, no matter even if she is going through a rough time, she shouldn't be hosting at all. How would your boss like it if you turned up work drunk, and all your customers could see you? Mine would most likely me to start looking elsewhere for my paycheck. Rehab? Meh, too much for a drinking problem after so many personal problems. She reallys needs to get some time to herself, take a holiday. If should could do that peacefully without the media after her that would go a great way to helping her out upstairs.

New video: it's all about Hugh Sheridan MusicFIX Blog by Sam Nov 20 2009 2:29PM Off the heels of his debut 'Just Can't Throw Us Away' comes Hugh Sheridan's follow-up 'All About Me' — and MusicFIX is giving you the first look at the new song.

We gotta say: Hugh's is looking pretty fine in the clip, which dumps him in the desert (in trendy aviator sunnies) where he's rescued/stalked by a woman I can only assume is a massive Packed to the Rafters fan.

Keep an eye out for the blink-and-you'll-miss-it shirtlessness:

'All About Me' is from Hugh's album Speak Love, which releases on November 27.

Music Review: Foo Fighters & Robbie Williams MusicFIX Blog by Jade Nov 19 2009 3:11PM

Single review: Robbie Williams - Bodies

Robbie's appeal lies in the chorus. 'Rock DJ', 'Let Me Entertain You', 'Angels' - a verse is just a means to a middle for Mr. Williams. His last album lost the chorus and truckloads of fans along the way.

Bodies the new single off of his seventh album 'Reality Killed the Video Star' was a perfect choice to piggyback a comeback on. The fuzzy guitars and synth beats do a damn fine job of building interest till we reach the main event and Robbie's voice bursts through, bringing with it the memory of just how catchy and fun he can be.

Admittedly the choir and the string section are a little naff and it's definitely no monster hit like 'Rock DJ'. Still it is a pretty slice of pop pleasure from someone who unlike 'Take That' you aren't embarrassed to admit you listen too. You will like it if: You're in need of a new karaoke tune.

Album review: Foo Fighters – Greatest Hits

The Foo's are the gateway band for the next generation (not sure what letter of the alphabet that is). They are the band every 13 year old first turns too when they are on the cusp of realising there is more to music than the Top 40. Easy listening with just enough edge and cred to ease the transition into some harder sounding stuff.

Everyone remembers their first, it always maintains a slight rosy coloured special sheen, and it's why a decade later grown up kids get misty eyed when 'Monkey Wrench' suddenly appears on a shuffle playlist. It's why record companies are cynically smart enough to release a Greatest Hits album just before stockings must be stuffed in time for Christmas.

While the obligatory two new songs tacked on the end - 'Wheels' and 'Word Forward' won't make it to 'Greatest Hits Vol. 2', the CD serves its purpose as you find yourself discovering or dusting off their old albums.

Video: Ministry of Sound's raunchy new tune MusicFIX Blog by Sam Nov 18 2009 4:01PM Aah, another Ministry of Sound song, another raunchy video clip.

Titled 'aNYway', the track is by Ducksauce and appears to be influenced by the Patrick Swayze/Demi Moore classic Ghost — if Ghost was, like, 100 times sexier. (I don't recall Patrick slipping his hand inside Demi's bra in the movie. Or the two of them crafting a huge penis-shaped thing out of clay. Hmmm...)

Check out the clip right here:
