Australia is in love with Lady Gaga, and the eccentric performer says right back at you. “I’m in love with Sydney,” she said in an interview. “It’s so vibrant and beautiful. Also, the fashion here is insane!”.

Her debut album, The Fame, went Platinum in Australia and claimed the 12th spot in the Top 100 Albums 2008 Aria charts; she also had two singles featured in the Top 100 Singles 2008 charts – “Just Dance” in number 7 and “Poker Face” in number 14.

“I didn’t win American idol,” she said. “I don’t have a celebrity rock & roll dad that got me a record deal or taught me about music. The only thing I had when I started was my raw talent. I have come very far, and I can only imagine how much further I can go. I was born for this, and for a life of surrender: I don’t have a boyfriend or tons of girlfriends with whom to roll around town, go to parties and get wasted. I write my music, design the show, go to rehearsals and design my clothes. I am meant to be an isolated, lonely and secluded artist.”

But, no matter how secluded she reckons she is, Lady Gaga can hardly feel lonely with the ever-increasing amount of Aussie fans at her feet –she even has a dedicated Australian website (www.ladygaga.com.au).

So it’s no wonder that she decided to shoot the video for her third single, “Eh Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say), specifically for the Australian/ New Zealand market, according to entertainment-gossip mogul Perez Hilton.

The video showcases Gaga’s strong sense of fashion — borrowing heavily form the fifties aesthetics.

“Gaga is not a character or an alter ego, is who I am,” she said. Amen to that.

There wast really anything to do with australia in the vidio apart from the fact it was filmed here, but Lady Gaga has a more interesting personality than i thought she did...

She is of Italian descent, she probably wants to share her culture and history with us Aussies! Just be thankful that sum1 so talented would think of doing something like that especially for us. A true artist and incredible dedication.

Where did it show anything that seemed from anywhere in australia in there?...

This clip is anythin but Australian. American Car, American Flag, Italian Flag, Vespa - What was Australian about it.

The single is only being released in Australia, so she could easily have decided not to bother with a video. Instead, she decided to make a video "specifically for the Australian and NZ market". Easy!

specifically for an Aus market? It's made to look like any one of a number of American cities. Little Italy obviously. It even features an American flag! I don't get it.
