Them Crooked Vultures Confirm Tour Dates

The Crooked Vultures
There is something fishy about the dates of the Crooked Vultures tour.

Despite very Big Day Out-like dates, the promoters of the 2010 Them Crooked Vultures tour have made it clear that the band will "not be playing any festivals" on their first visit to Australia.

Our guess is this means that one of the other bands linked to TCV is playing the Big Day Out. Given Dave Grohl's work ethic and the fact that the Foo Fighters will be promoting a greatest hits collection around that time, don't be surprised if they're topping the travelling circus bill. Or maybe Josh Homme's missus, Brody Dalle, is bringing Spinnerette to Australia for the festival and the QOTSA/TCV guitarist just wants to be close to her and their daughter Camille. Or possibly Josh is playing the BDO with QOTSA. Or could the Eagles of Death Metal be adding a prequel run to their Soundwave dates in February?

Any of the above is more likely than a Led Zep reunion. Sadly.

Dates for the Vultures shows are:

Tuesday 19 January -- Perth -- Challenge Stadium

Friday 22 January -- Melbourne -- Festival Hall

Monday 25 January -- Brisbane -- Riverstage

Tuesday 26 January -- Sydney -- Hordern Pavilion

Friday 29 January -- Wellington -- Bank Arena

Saturday 30 January -- Auckland -- Vector Arena
