Break-up: Empire of the Sun?

Break-up: Empire of the Sun?
Luke Steele (left) and Nick Littlemore (right)
Empire of the Sun may have become Empire of the One.

Luke Steele says bandmate Nick Littlemore has been AWOL for the last five months — he's missing from the group's two latest videos 'Standing On The Shore' and 'Without You', hasn't posed for publicity shots, and won't appear with Steele at upcoming Parklife shows.

"I really don't know [if Nick is still in the band anymore]," Steele told ABC News. "He's just left me with the baby."

How... strange. Regardless of whether or not Littlemore remains with the Empire, Steele says he still plans to keep touring, writing, and recording music.

Yep, that sums it up. Gotta agree with melissa there!
He's been awol for ages. Get with the times.
So when something doesn't go his way, Nick runs away and disappears. Wow, how childish. There may be a battle of egos in this duo but going AWOL doesn't solve much and fans must be feeling a little annoyed.
Luke's the one who has the magic. Sucks that Nick has disapered, but Luke's got the vision and the talent to pull it off by himself.

A Lily Allen comeback? Already? MusicFIX Blog by Jade Feb 10 2010 10:58AM In what could be the shortest retirement ever, Lily Allen is reconsidering her retirement plans just months after announcing she had quit music for good.

After promising It's Not Me, It's You would be her final album, Allen is already regretting her decision. "I keep thinking I am letting down all my fans," the singer told the UK's Metro . "Can I do it to them? It's a tough decision."

It must be the month of broken promises, with Allen returning to her twittering ways. The singer, well known for her Twitter addiction went cold turkey last year due to "technology overload," the UK's Glamour magazine reported.

But to the joy of twits everywhere Lily returned last week, proclaiming her love for Lady Gaga ("She is the bestest beeyatch ever") and singing with joy over her three Brit Award nominations.

Nick Jonas better without his bro's? Listen now! MusicFIX Blog by Jade Feb 9 2010 12:52PM There has been a Jo'Bro sized hole in the airwaves lately with Joe busy missing out on tv cameos and Kevin getting hitched. Luckily Nick went solo and we have the album ready for your listening pleasure.

We've been hearing about Nick's new band 'The Administration' for a while now and the album definitely delivers on the rumoured 'more adult' sound he was aiming for.

Working with members of Prince's old band the youngest brother has delivered a rock-pop disc sounding far older than his age would suggest.

So if you've ever wondered what one bro would sound like...

Beyonce stumbles and tumbles... MusicFIX Blog by Jade Feb 9 2010 9:37AM American Idol judges would have raved about Beyonce's performance after she managed to make an on-stage fall look like part of the show.

During her Brazilian concert last week, Beyonce's super-high stilettos got the better of her as she took a tumble mid-song.

Luckily for her and unluckily for the front row that could have got a piece of the star, she narrowly avoided falling off the stage and quickly regained her balance to continue belting out the song, 'Irreplaceable'.

This is the second fall of Beyonce's to become a YouTube sensation. The first was captured during a show three years ago in Orlando with the singer faceplanting down a flight of stairs.

Check out our gallery of the most embarrassing onstage blunders from the world's biggest stage stars. They'll never live down these babies!

Justin Timberlake - not such a sexy blonde... MusicFIX Blog by Jade Feb 8 2010 11:54AM Justin Timberlake looked a little too comfortable in the blonde wig he wore last week to accept his 'Hasty Pudding Man of the Year' award from Harvard University.

Organisers said Timberlake was a "triple threat". "He sings, he dances and he goes straight to DVD," they said. The annual award is given to entertainers who have "made a lasting contribution to the world of entertainment".

JT also endured a roasting of people from his past including spoof versions of Madonna, 'N Sync and a fat-suited, pigtail-wearing Britney Spears.

But the 'Sexyback' singer, accompanied by girlfriend Jessica Biel (so much for the bust-up rumours), said the silver pudding pot prize was "cooler than a Grammy or Emmy".
