His shaggy blonde hair and cute looks are gone, and he's going for a more mature sound. Of his next single, 'Shake', Jesse told MTV: "It's a kind of... urban, kitschy track with a lot of synths and pop melodies on top, and it makes for good ear candy."
Jesse still loves the ladies — he's planning to cast several girls and a few dancers in the music video for 'Shake'.
Time will tell if Jesse can replicate his earlier success, but he's certainly talented. Few people realise he wrote Leona Lewis' breakout track 'Bleeding Love', and recorded his own version too. Take a listen:
