The actress teamed up with the singer after winning rave reviews for her knockout cover of the song on Glee.
She's made quite an impression on Cee Lo — he told People she's a "natural".
"We already went into the studio together to record a special rendition of 'Forget You'," he said.
"I started off the new year [in] a very special way and that's recording with Miss Gwyneth."
Gwyneth is hosting the January 15 episode of Saturday Night Live, with Cee Lo Green performing on the same show.
