Melburnian singer, Kimbra, has received a personal Twitter request from celebrity gossip queen, Perez Hilton.
Perez, the author of celeb gossip site, perezhilton.com, has asked Kimbra to perform at his birthday party in October.
“The internet’s most notorious gossip columnist” wrote: ‘I’d love it if you played my CMJ party in NYC in October !!!!x’
Awesome news for Kimbra, but the singer is looking pretty booked up with her national tour and Parklife later this year.
Perez featured Kimbra’s first single, ‘Settle Down,’ on his site in 2010, saying: "If you like Nina Simon, Florence & The Machine and/or Bjork, then we think you will enjoy Kimbra- her music reminds us of all those fierce ladies."
The high-profile, birthday bash request comes after Ashton Kutcher gave fellow fellow Melburnian, Goyte, and Kimbra, a massive plug for their single ‘Somebody that I used to know.’
“This is kinda fantastic,” Ashton tweeted to over 7 million of his Twitter followers.
Kimbra’s debut album Vows is due out tomorrow, 2 September.
