It's been a good six months since Aussie greats Wolfmother called it quits, but not before frontman Andrew Stockdale waved one proverbial fist in the air and vowed he'd be back with a whole new band.

It now looks like he's come good with his promise. A suspiciously Wolfmother-esque flyer has started doing the rounds, promoting an unknown band called White Feather who will play shows in Sydney and Brisbane this weekend.

The flyer uses the same font and image used in previous Wolfmother promotions, and was reportedly distributed via the old band's mailing list. The band also acknowledge the gigs on their myspace page.

While there has been no official word on who the new band members are, Dave Atkins of the Resin Dogs is thought to be the drummer.

Stockdale allegedly first approached members of Sydney indie kids Philadelphia Grand Jury to join his new line-up, but they declined the offer.

Reading Courtney Love's blog is mostly a frightening experience, but occasionally the swampland that is Court's mind coughs up some pretty funny insights – like the fact that Paris Hilton keeps pictures of herself in the loo.

"I went to take my band to Paris [Hilton’s]’ house. There were images of her everywhere. I mean everywhere," Courtney told Heeb Magazine.

"And I like Paris. She's funny. But what’s weird is that Paris had so many pictures of herself everywhere. I mean, she has not only got a grand piano with—I swear to God—maybe a thousand pictures of herself, but I was in the bathroom, and there were, pictures of her everywhere! Everywhere! I’m just trying to pee and there’s just f***ing... Paris.

We imagine it would take a lot to out-weird Courtney Love, but Paris watching you with your pants down is probably creepy enough to do it.

Nude pictures of an 18-year-old woman posted on a porn website could be of former Operator Please member Sarah Gardiner, an Australian music blog has claimed.

The images, posted under the name 'Tricia L', bear a striking similarity to the 18-year-old keyboardist. The blog Pedestrian claims they received an anonymous tip-off that the model featured in the photo set was "none other than former Operator Please keyboardist Sarah Gardiner".

Gardiner was a founding member of the highly successful Gold Coast band who shot to fame with the hit track "Just a Song About Ping Pong", but left in April 2008. An article in the Courier Mail said she had left the band "by mutual consent".

Gardiner announced the split on her Facebook page, referencing the film clip for 'Two For My Seconds', which the band had just finished filming.

"The video features myself truly playing the piano on a busy street in Sydney - an oddly appropriate send off!" she reportedly wrote.

A representative from EMI said they were aware of the images but could not comment on them.

This is not the first time saucy nude photos of an Australian music star have been discovered on the web. Last year THE FIX broke the story that photos allegedly of Veronicas star Jess Origliasso had appeared on a nude celebrity photo website. Origlaisso later confirmed that some of the photos were in fact of her.

New Year, new wardrobe, right?

Not if you're a female muso in the grips of economic crisis, it seems!

Rather than shed dollars on a brand new outfit, it looks like penny-pinching Lady GaGa has opted for some spray-paint, glue and Dylon to refresh her image, showing up in a brand "new" outfit at a party in Germany on Monday.

It's an update of the same creation she's been flaunting for a good six months, despite claiming that fashion is "everything to her".

"When I'm writing music, I'm thinking about the clothes I wear on stage. It's all about everything altogether – performance art, pop performance art, fashion," she said in an interview with MTV recently.

"I want the imagery to be so strong fans will want to eat and taste and lick every part of us."

Ignoring the 'gross' factor of that last comment, we're not sure Lady GaGa is practicing what she preaches. Or maybe even so-called fashionistas need to be frugal in tough times.

When is Madonna going to head back down under?

The material girl has added a new leg to her world tour, with a string of dates just announced across Europe – for the second time on her Sticky and Sweet tour. But unless you're planning to hit the likes of Copenhagen, Brussels or Barcelona, it looks like you'll be missing out yet again.

According to her website, Madonna is "looking forward to an amazing summer in Europe, hitting the cities she didn't get a chance to in 2008".

Not fair, Maddy. You've already been to Europe! We want to see some action down here.

Apparently her plans to tour downunder were shelved after the Aussie dollar slumped late last year, making her too expensive for promoters to bring out.

More than 25 years after the release of the dancefloor sensation 'Thriller', Michael Jackson is being sued by the video clip's director.

John Landis oversaw production of the clip, which went on to become the most expensive music video of all time.

But now he has allegedly claimed he has not received profits from the clip in the last four years, and wants Jacko's camp to cough up.

No word yet on Michael's response, but our money's on the musician to win this one – something tells us he's played all these games before.

P!nk has never been one to shy away from getting autobiographical with her music and her video clips. So what are we to make of this new clip for “Please don’t leave me”?

It's a Britney Spears smorgasbord!

Apparently unsatisfied with the snippets of her life presented by the press and less-than-salubrious twitter hackers, Britney is finally going to get the chance to tell it for herself, by penning her "own" autobiography.

She'll allegedly be using her personal diary entries to recreate her rise to fame, fall from grace and notable personal struggles in a 3 to 5 book series.

If your first thoughts were why, Britney, why?! your answer might come by way of the $14 million book deal she's apparently already signed a with a literary agent.

Even for a cashed up gal like Brits, that's a new holiday home right there. Or a lot of corn chips and beer.

Life sure would be boring without the likes of Lily Allen.

The impish singer has refused to back down on her slamming match with Katy Perry, pulling faces and mocking the rival singer's American accent on a British talk show.

Lily snapped when the presenter asked about Katy's claim that she was: "a fatter version of Amy Winehouse and a skinner version of Lily Allen".

"The thing about me and Amy Winehouse is that we're both English, and we both write our own songs. So it doesn't really matter if you're skinny or fatter than either of us. There's no comparison, I'm afraid," she said.

Ouch! We doubt Katy is going to keep her lip zipped on this one... looks like it's game on, girls.
