It's been five years since U2 released an album, but the kings of Irish soft rock have finally released a new song.

The song, the first single to be released from their upcoming album No Line On The Horizon, is typically dominated by Bono's scratched vocals and has a nice enough melody, but if you were expecting an epic new anthem from the boys, well, you're going to have to wait a little longer.

She might have played an intelligence officer in Austin Powers: Goldmember, but the real Beyonce Knowles would have flunked out of spy school.

The singer allegedly let slip top secret details about the upcoming US Presidential inauguration, telling US television networks that she would sing the first dance between Barack Obama and wife Michelle at the official induction this week.

Beyonce said: "I am so honored that I will be performing for President Obama and the First Lady. To sing 'At Last' while they have their first dance is a dream come true. I could not be more honored and excited that they have asked me to be part of this moment in history."

According to reports, Obama's camp grudgingly admitted it was true, but added that details of the event were not meant to be made public.

Leona Lewis knows that in an industry struggling to stay afloat due to declining album sales, the key to staying alive is diversifying your portfolio, so to speak.

Hence the British pop star is releasing her own vegan clothing line and, in a very unoriginal move, a perfume.

According to an insider, "Leona has had a lot of approaches about launching her own perfume, but she wanted to make totally sure she would be working with an ethical company. She has had a big hand in helping to create the fragrance and the design of the bottle and now she can’t wait to see it in the shops."

The celebutante will launch her second, dance-themed album early this year, featuring a song she wrote about her time in prison, called 'Jailhouse Baby'.

The album will also include the theme song to her TV show, 'My BFF', and the election-themed 'Paris For President'.

An album full of theme songs and ditzy, barely funny songs about the life of Paris Hilton, sung by Paris Hilton? Is anyone seriously going to buy this?

Maybe if she actually tried to take her pop career seriously, we would be able to do the same.

Justin Timberlake and UK pop singer Leona Lewis are apparently so enamoured by each other's work that they're scratching together time in their busy schedules to record a love duet – and it's none other than the classic tune 'I will always love you'.

A rep told the UK's Sun newspaper the two are planning to record in the next few months.

"Leona and Justin are huge fans of each other's music and are raring to go," the source said.

No doubt Justin's upbeat style would be an interesting match with Leona's honeyed tones, but does the world really need another love duet? It seems so 90's to us!

Rapper-slash-superstar Kanye West has declared he's not done shocking people and would love to show you his rude thing.

Yep, that's right. Kanye reportedly told Vibe magazine he would definitely get nude in a bid to keep pushing boundaries.

"I definitely feel like, in the next however many years, if I work out for two months, that I'll pose naked. I break every rule and mentality of hip-hop, of black culture, of American culture," he said, adding that the limits of fame could be frustrating.

"I want the freedom of having less fans. It's like the freedom of having less money. If you have less money, you have less responsibility. It's like Björk. If she wanted to pose naked, you'd be like: 'Oh, that's Björk. But if I wanted to pose naked, people would draw all type of things into it."

Amy Winehouse's recent break in St. Lucia seems to have done wonders for the ailing singer, who has allegedly pledged to kick-start the new year drug free.

"Before I came out here I looked at a photo of myself in the newspaper and was horrified. My skin was a spotty mess and I was so pale and skinny. I thought to myself, ‘Girl, you got to sort yourself out or you’ll be dead soon.’ I was depressed, doing drugs and had no life in me at all. Coming here has changed everything," she told UK tabloid News of the World.

Sunshine, rest and a reported holiday fling with a wannabe actor named Josh Bowman are also helping Amy to get over her failed marriage.

"He (Josh) couldn’t be more different from my husband, which is not a bad thing. Blake looks like me, a right mess. But Josh is all handsome and clean and that’s what I love about him… I’m just here on my own, happy and having a good time with Josh. I’ll deal with Blake when I get back. But our whole marriage was based on doing drugs."

Meanwhile a friend of Amy's has claimed she wants to get her tattoo tribute to Blake removed from her chest.

"Amy started thinking about tattoo removal before she went to the Caribbean. She will always love Blake but she is starting to think of a future without him."
