After months of professing her love for her jailbird hubby, including publically embarrassing herself at Nelson Mandela's birthday, Amy Winehouse has allegedly revealed her marriage to Blake Fielder-Civil is over.

"There's no way back for us now," The singer supposedly told UK tabloid News of the World. "It was never going to last. We were only together for the sex."

Reports say Fielder-Civil, who has only just been released from jail after a 27-month sentence for assault, has ditched Amy for a German model named Sophie.

Says Amy: "I fancied him like mad, like no one else I've ever known. But it's not enough, is it?

No doubt her parents are secretly pleased with the outcome.

You'd think with all that waiting around for the well overdue birth of their first child, Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson might have had time to think their baby's name through.

Instead they've named the poor little tacker Bronx Mowgli.

We bet that conversation went down something like this:

Ashlee: I want my baby to have a strong name, something that commands real respect and authority. Something that people will remember.

Pete: Nah, let's just name him after where we conceived him. And look, Jess has given us a copy of The Jungle Book. I like the Jungle Book...

We've got mixed feelings about this solo effort from Neighbours graduate Natalie Bassignthwaighte. After ditching her former band Rogue Traders, her new single 'Alive' is a pretty good attempt at generic, catchy pop.

But the video clip has us scratching our heads with confusion. What, exactly, is the deal with those outfits? Are they a joke? If so, we don't really get it.

First Justin Timberlake climbed into a leotard and parodied the clip for the Saturday Night Live cameras, now the rest of the world wants to join in too.

It's been several days since Ashlee Simpson allegedly went into labour with her and husband Pete Wentz's first child, but with nothing but silence emulating from the Simpson-Wentz camp, has something gone wrong with the birth?

Speaking to Ellen Degeneres on November 17, big sis Jessica Simpson said Ashlee was preparing to be induced. "They're going to have to. It's already developing really quickly," Jessica said.

Since then, there have been no public announcements from the usually publicity-happy family, fuelling rumours that complications may have occurred.

Pete Wentz began cancelling his public appearances over two weeks ago, including a scheduled appearance on the Larry King Show, due to "breaking news and scheduling conflicts".

Britney Spears has spoken out about her 'crazy' life, claiming that she feels trapped and alone despite being a household name worldwide.

In a new documentary about the star, Britney tells how "there's no excitement, there's no passion" in her life.

"Even when you go to jail, you know there's the time when you're gonna get out. But in this situation, it's never ending. It's just like [the movie] 'Groundhog Day' every day," the singer allegedly reveals in Britney: For The Record, due to air later this month.

After a tumultuous year where Britney suffered a breakdown under the full glare of the world's media and appeared dazed and confused in a number of public appearances, the singer is still trying to get her personal life back on track.

"I think it's too in control. If I wasn't under the restraints I'm under, I'd feel so liberated. When I tell them the way I feel, it's like they hear, but they're really not listening. If you do something wrong in your work, you can move on, but I'm having to pay for a long time.”

With early leaks of her new album 'Circus' already sparking rave reviews, we hope the next year is going to be a whole lot better for Brit.

Oasis guitarist Noel Gallagher has used that big mouth of his for a good cause, scaring away thieves who were trying to steal a former Bond girl's dog.

When he saw the dog-nappers attempting to take the pooch belonging to Caroline Munro, who starred in 'The Spy Who Loved Me', from outside a supermarket, Gallagher let rip with a frightening tirade that caused the would-be robbers to run away.

Munro was allegedly so grateful that she showered Gallagher with thanks, while a source claimed: "Noel was so brave – the blokes could have been carrying knives but he just didn't care."

'Umbrella' singer Rihanna has been circling around the 'Queen of Pop' crown like a predatory shark for some time now, but it looks like she's finally managed to snatch it up.

Her album 'Good Girl Gone Bad' has had a landmark eight singles to hit the charts since it was released in June 2007.

In addition to the smash hit 'Umbrella', 'Disturbia' and 'Take a Bow' both hit Number 1 on the charts while 'Shut Up and Drive', 'Hate That I Love You' and 'Don't Stop The Music' all fell into the top 20 bracket.

Other releases to chart were 'Rehab' and 'If I Never See Your Face Again'.
