At a time when it seems most celebs are checking in and out of rehab, making public fools of themselves or acting just plain weird, we're thankful for the squeaky clean ways of newly married couple Jay-Z and Beyonce Knowles.

Jay-Z, speaking at a United Nations awards ceremony where he was honoured for his charity work in Africa, revealed he'd love to start a family with his new bride.

"Most people dream of having a family someday," he told reporters. "So I'm just a regular American boy."

The rapper was praised at the United Nations Global Leadership Awards Gala held in New York this week for his work bringing clean water to poorer parts of Africa.

He also visited the continent recently to see the effects of his actions.

"Many charities, you close your eyes and cross your fingers and hope that the money gets to the people who really deserve it." He told reporters.

"But with this, I got to go to Africa, see the water pumps. I got to see the kids turn them on."

Lily Allen's spate of publically drunken episodes lately have allegedly left friends seriously concerned for the singer's health.

A source told Britain's Daily Star newspaper that the pop sensation needs help.

"We all think it's time she considered rehab. She drinks too much, then feels depressed," said the source, adding that the singer didn't think anything was wrong with her behaviour.

"Her attitude is: 'I like to let my hair down and have a good time, who doesn't?"

Sure, Lily's had a few embarrassing incidents lately – including being carried out of the Glamour Woman of the Year awards in July, and swearing at Elton John at the GQ Awards last month – but does that really warrant rehab?

The singer is quick to admit on her myspace blog she goes overboard sometimes, but that her behaviour is normal for someone her age.

"I'm not defending my drunkeness because i don't need to, i'm 23 it was an awards ceremony i drank the free champagne, how awful of me," Lily wrote in the wake of the Elton scandal.

It's been a bad couple of weeks for The Kills guitarist Jamie Hince. Barely two weeks after he was dumped by party princess Kate Moss, his band's tour bus and driver have mysteriously disappeared in Texas.

The Kills posted a frustrated message on their website seeking anyone who might have information leading to its recovery.

"OUR BUS DRIVER IS MISSING AND/OR HURT/DEAD/or A THIEF," they wrote. "OUR BUS HAS DISAPPEARED. ... How can three tons of black metal vanish into thin air?"

"Anyone seen a black ziggys tour bus traveling somewhere between los angeles and austin texas?"

The federal police are now on the hunt for the vehicle and its driver, Brian Berkenkemper.

Meanwhile, the band plan to continue on their tour supporting indie super-group The Raconteurs, minus the bus and all of their luggage.

Having a rock star boyfriend can come in handy sometimes, especially if you're serial trash bag Paris Hilton.

Boyfriend Benji Madden of the band Good Charlotte gave the former celebutante a helping hand to write her new song, and we have to say – it's actually pretty good. For her.

But don't be tricked into thinking the track, 'My BFF', is just another pop song. It's also a transparent plug for her new reality TV show, where she searches for a new best friend.

He's been booted out of Australian Idol to the dismay of tweenies everywhere, but you haven't seen the last of baby-faced Tom Williams yet.

The 16-year-old many of you thought was just not good enough to be the new Idol has put out the call to other young male singers to create a Jonas Brothers-style boy band.

"They (the Jonas Brothers) are really big in America, so I think it will be kind of cool to have one of those kinds of bands in Australia," Williams said.

"If anyone's interested send me a message on MySpace."

But just in case the singing career doesn't work out, he's already figured out a back-up plan.

"I really love Neighbours, so that'd be lots of fun," he said.

Madonna's troubled Sticky and Sweet tour has come under new fire, this time from Wembley Stadium officials in London, who have fined the singer around $324,000 for going over the venue's set curfew.

The September 11 gig ran over schedule by more than 40 minutes after the singer was late arriving on stage. Mads was allegedly fined $120,000 for every fifteen minutes she went overtime.

The late finish reportedly caused a number of transport problems for gig goers, many of whom were left stranded after the tube stations closed.

Earlier this month, some of the 250 staff accompanying the tour threatened to quit over poor working conditions and sub-standard accommodation.

It's no secret Robbie Williams is a bit alien obsessive, but now a UFO expert in New York has claimed the oddball singer is a prime target for abduction.

Michael Luckman, director of the Centre for Extraterrestrial Research, says he believes aliens are using Robbie as their representative on Earth.

"Robbie could easily disappear and then come back as an ambassador for their race," he warned.

"He is the first celebrity I know of to actually go out there and actively hunt for alien life forms. He's unusually proactive, even putting his musical career on hold. And he is more likely to make contact because of where he is spiritually — he takes it to the max."

Robbie recently split with his girlfriend, actor Ayda Field, because the singer had allegedly been spending too much time hunting UFOs.

Pint-sized popstar Miley Cyrus has denied rumours she's desperately trying to pull the plug on her TV show Hannah Montana.

Earlier reports stated Miley has been trying to get fired from the show in order to finish the 24-episode season early and focus on her singing career.

But speaking through her agent this week, Miley said: "I'm really excited about our new season. We are making great new episodes that I can't wait for our fans to see and I'm looking forward to the Hannah Montana movie that will be out in the spring."

Disney execs in charge of the show are said to be furious over the stunt, with one boss calling Miley and her co-star dad Billy Ray "ingrates".

The 15-year-old star of the show has reportedly been busy trying to commit showbiz industry suicide, arriving on set late, stalling production and upsetting other members of the cast. The success of the show means producers have already added another six shows to the current season.

Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil has chosen to stay in prison rather than face rehab.

He turned down the chance to spent the rest of his current jail sentence under home supervision, which would mean living with his mother, having a 7pm curfew and wearing a electronic monitoring anklet.

The 26-year-old previously stated that he only wants to live with Amy in their North London home, but he'll have to wait a little longer before he gets the chance to do that.

Blake is currently serving out a 27 month sentence for a string of offences including assault and perverting the course of justice. He is expected to be released in December.
