Thom Yorke's New Moon

The tracklisting for the indie hit of the summer, the New Moon OST, has been announced, but Thom Yorke provides the final twist

In addition to Death Cab for Cutie’s first single “Meet Me on the Equinox”, the soundtrack will also feature contributions from Radiohead’s Thom Yorke, Muse, Grizzly Bear, Bon Iver and the Killers. In a typically cool Yorke move, the Radiohead frontman's song on the New Moon soundtrack is neither of the two tracks featured on his new single “Feeling Pulled Apart By Horses” b/w “The Hollow Earth”. Instead, Yorke has recorded a new song called “Hearing Damage” for the disc.

Nick Cave Discusses Novel

Nick Cave says his second novel, the dark, twisted The Death of Bunny Munro was inspired by Avril Lavigne and Kylie Minogue’s hot pants.

Says Cave, “Bunny Munro was initially a screenplay for John Hillcoat, who I wrote The Proposition for. He wanted it to be about a traveling salesmen, so I interviewed some of these guys, and they revealed this sort of underworld they live in: drug-taking, alcohol-drinking, womanizing.”
